Checking In and Out
We normally request arrival between 4 and 7 p.m. and departure by 11 a.m. but as we are a small business, we do our best to be flexible .
We regret that single night bookings are not viable for us, so we do not accept them as a rule. It may be possible occasionally on a week day at a slightly higher nightly rate – please contact us direct to discuss.
Much as we like children, our house is not really suitable for families with young children and there is no space for extra beds or cots in any of the rooms. We can usually accept bookings which include well behaved children aged 12 or over and have occasionally made exceptions for younger children but regret that we can only do this on a case-by-case basis.
We require a deposit to the value of one night’s booking or 20% of the value of the stay (whichever is larger) in order to secure the booking.
In the event of a cancellation less than 7 days ahead of the planned arrival date, we regret we cannot refund deposits and advise our guests to take out a travel insurance policy to cover this eventuality. Earlier cancellations can be refunded in full.
Some guests find it more convenient to make prepayment in full. If a late cancellation were made in this case, we would of course refund the balance of the prepayment, only keeping the deposit.
In the event of a cancellation less than 3 days ahead of the arrival date or a “no-show”, we reserve the right to charge for the value of the entire stay.
Prepayment can be made via internet bank transfer, we also accept most major credit and debit cards.
During the stay payment can also be made in cash or by cheque.
